Results

NACOR will mail your exam results to you and to OOM.

If you pass the exam, you are eligible to proceed to Step 3: Registration.

If you do not pass the exam, you may rewrite it. You are allowed three attempts to pass the exam. If you fail three attempts, OOM will review your situation and will likely recommend that you complete an entire Opticianry education program in Eyeglasses, Contact Lenses or both at an educational institution that is approved by OOM.

  • OOM will place your name on the Register within 6-8 weeks of receiving your application.

OOM will mail you a Certificate of Registration to confirm that your name is on the Register. Once your name is on the Register, you are eligible to complete Step 4: Licensing.
