The Alberta Department of Education has approved a 1.5% price increase in tuition fees for all post secondary schools in Alberta. Therefore, NAIT and the OAC are required to increase the uniform price of the NAIT/OAC Optical Sciences courses to as follows: (this increase effects the theory courses only)

Eyeglasses Year One - $2340.00 (increase of $40.00 from 2009)
Eyeglasses Year Two - $2340.00 (increase of $40.00 from 2009)
Advanced Practice Year One - $2550.00 (increase of $50.00 from 2009)
Advanced Practice Year Two – Contact Lenses - $2550.00 (increase of $50.00 from 2009)
Advanced Practice Year Two – Sight Testing - $2550.00 (increase of $50.00 from 2009)

The practicum fees of $200.00 per Practicum level will remain the same. The above prices must be charged by all provinces effective the September 2010/2011 Intake.
