      • An optician who has had an inactive or active license but has been non- practicing for 10 years or more and wishes to have an active license will be required to complete the online Competency Gap Analysis (CGA) and a behaviour based interview. (Opticians who have been working in the optical industry as sales representatives or have been working in an optical laboratory, are considered to be practicing). A period of supervised practice will also be required, the length of which will be determined on a case by case basis taking into consideration the applicant’s score on the CGA and interview. Following successful completion of these requirements, the optician will also be required to apply for reinstatement.
